The precision shaft is one of the typical parts often encountered in the machine. It is mainly used to support transmission parts, Traisinit 

torque and bear load.The shaft hardware is a rotating body part, the length of which is greater than diameter,and is composed of a concentric outer circular surface, a conical surface, an inner hole; a thread and a
corresponding end surface in a ship. According to the different structure and shape, shaftparts can be divided into twist shaft, step shaft, hollow shaft and curved shaft.If the ration of length to diameter of the shaft is less than 5, it is called the short shaft, if it is more than 20, it is called the long shaft, and most shafts are between the two,Precision hardware shafts are supported by bearings, and the segments that mate gith the bearings are called journals.

 The shaft journal is   assembly reference of the shaft, and its accuracy and surface quality are generally required to be high its technical requirements are generally formulated according to the main functions and 

working conditions of the shaft is usually including the following items:

1.Dimensional accuracy:
In order to determine the position of the shaft the bearing journal usually requires high dimensional accuracy( IT 5~ IT 7). 
Shafts for assemgling drive element, Generally, the dimensional accuracy of the journal of the assembly transmission part is required to be low( IT 6~ IT 9). 

2.Geometric accurace
The geometric shape accuracy of the precision handware shaft mainly refers to the roundness and 
cylindricity of the shaft neck, outer conical surface, Morse taper hole. etc.. which should qenerally be witin the tolerance range. For the internal and external circular surfaces 
with high precision requiremegnts, the allowable deviation shall be marked on thie drawing.

3.Mutual position accuracy
The position accuracy requirement of precision hardware shaft is mainly determined by the position and
 function of the shaft in the machine.Generally, the coaxiality of the journal of the transmission part to the bearing journal shall be ensured, otherwise, the trandission 
accuracy of the transmission part (gear, etc.)will be affected and noise will be generated. The radial runout of the common precision shaft section to the bearing jounal is generally 
0.01~ 0. 03mm, and that of te high precision shaft(such as the main shaft) is generally 0.001-0.005mm.

4.Surface roughness 


Generally, the surface roughness of the shaft. diameter matching with the transmission part is Ra,2.5*0. 63um, and the surface roughness of the supporting shaft diameter matching with the bearing is Ra0. 63-0.16um.
